Dewatering Products

Dewatering bags and tubes control sediment discharge during a variety of dewatering operations.  They also provide a cost-effective, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional dewatering or sludge removal methods.  The most common applications include:

  • construction
  • municipal wastewater treatment
  • agricultural remediation
  • marine dredging
  • storm water management
  • coastal protection

They quickly remove sediment, sand, sludge and other dredging materials.  In addition, they offer superior puncture and tear resistance for challenging applications and rough terrain.

Pump Water Filter Bags

Pump water filter bags are disposable bags manufactured from heavyweight non-woven geotextile filter fabric or specialty woven geotextiles.  They are specifically designed for rapid onsite dewatering of sediments from any water pumping activity.  Once bulk dewatering takes place, self weight consolidation and confining pressure of the geotextile bag itself continue the process.

We offer standard pump filter bags manufactured from non-woven geotextile fabric with an inlet port to accommodate a 4-6” pipe. Stock sizes are 7.5’ x 15′, 15’ x 15’ and 15’ x 30′.  Custom size bags and materials are also available.

Geotextile Tubes

Geotextile tubes, also known as geotubes, are ideal for large dewatering and sludge removal projects.  They are constructed of high strength permeable woven geotextiles with unique retention properties.  They can also be custom designed to fit your site parameters.  While fine grain sand, sludge, contaminated soils, or dredge waste materials pump into the tubes, excess water drains from the small pores in the geotextiles.  This results in dewatering and volume reduction of the contained material.  They are especially efficient for containment and dewatering of industrial waste, municipal sludge, and marine sediments.
